Coral tulloch biography

Coral Tulloch

Coral created a syndicated children’s page which appeared for 20 years in newspapers throughout Australia and internationally. She studied Fine Art at East Sydney Technical College, Animation at Randwick, drawing in Florence, and lithography at The Academy of Applied Arts, Prague. She also worked in advertising, film, theatre and magazine production.

She has worked on 60 books for children (author and illustrator) in fiction and non-fiction for trade and educational publishers.

In 1999, she was an Arts Fellow with the Australian Antarctic Division, returning to Antarctica several times after this as an artist-in-residence. She has produced many books from these experiences, two award winning, and is continuing work in this field.

Coral can give a wide variety of presentations, from cartooning and illustration to writing and information sessions. She loves to inspire a mix of non-fiction and fiction, and is available for both primary schools and secondary schools and professional development and festivals.

In November 2015, she started Cloudyseas – a page to place up a drawing a day. Some images are created on the day, others showcase illustrated material from books, drawings and prints.
